Resources: Database Help
Some patrons have reported occasional problems accessing our databases. This page will give you a few things you can try yourself to fix the problems. If you are still having trouble, please
contact us so that we can help you out.
- Problem: I am logging in to the database with my library card but it will not accept my card number.
- Solution: Make sure you are typing all fourteen digits in your library card with no spaces. It is possible your card has expired, please give us a call at the library at 773-1860 and we can make sure your card is still valid.
- Problem: I click the Heritage Quest link and nothing happens.
- Solution: Heritage Quest uses a pop-up window to authenticate your library card number. You must make sure your computer is not set up to disable pop-up windows. You may re-enable popup blocking once you have logged in to Heritage Quest.
- Problem: HeritageQuest and/or Sanborn maps (ProQuest) is asking for a username and password
- Solution: this issue is most often caused by Norton Internet Security. Please go to the Internet link below to resolve this issue. ProQuest technical support firewall and browser configuration instructions are provided through this link.
