Edson, 92, of Glen morning at her home.\nShe was born in Rutland on May 19, 1887, daughter of\ngraduated\nfrom Rutland High School, from Mt. Holyoke College,\nWashington\nSeattle and a Ph.D.\nColumbia University.\nShe taught for years at\nColumbia College in Colum-bia, S.C.,and Wilson College in Pennsylvania.\nIn her last 30 years of\nProfessor\nChemistry at Hunter College in New York City.\nShe was a member of the\nCastleton Woman's\nCastleton\nRetired Teachers\nAssociation,\nSociety),\nAmerican\nChemical\nChapter of DAR of Vermont Colonial Dames, Daughters of Colonial Wars, American Colonists and\n1812,\nFounders\nPatriots;\nmember\nalso,\nof New\nEngland\nWomen, Dames of Court of Honor,\nVermont Huguenot\nSociety, Mayflower Society and Magna Charta.\nDr.\nEdson is survived by two daughters by adoption, Mrs.\nJune\nAustin\nCastleton\nand\nUnderwood\nMrs.\nof\nN.Y.;\nsix of\nSally Peekskill, grandchildren,\neight great-grandchildren;\na cousin and a nephew.\nFuneral services will be held at 2:30 p.m.\nSaturday\nin the Castleton Federated\nChurch\nwith the\nRev.\nDonald L. Snyder, pastor, assisted by the Rev.
