You did not state your fee.\nYes, indeed, Anna Flagg was a sister of Jane C. (Stearns) Ward. In the 1880 census Anna Flagg was living with Artemas and his 2nd wife,\nMary (Stearns), who was sister\nof his first wife.\nAnna Flagg is listed as sister-in-law to Artemas Ward.\nI do thank you so much for the information that Anna had married first then m. 2nd. at age 63 James Flagg.\nAllen,\nI guess that I'll try and find the first name of\nher first husband, Mr. Allen.\nI'll follow your suggestion and write to the town clerk in Benson, Vt.\nThe Stearns genealogy simply says that Ebenezer and Polly (Chilson) Stearns settled in West Rutland, Vt. and after the death of Polly, he went to New York State and\n2nd. a Miss Wilbur, by whom he had 6 children and is said to have died 1847/48 Canada.\nPerhaps they resided elsewhere prior to death of Polly.\nThis printed genealogy does not\ngive the birth dates of any of the children of the 2nd wife.... just lists their names, but Mary Stearns, dau. of Ebenezer & Polly (Chilson) Stearns was born\n1810...\nas according to the cemetery records from\nRutland, Vt., she\n1887 age 77.\nher Mothere death date as after 1809)\nI had listed her birth date as 1809 and so listed\nI appreciate your research.\nSincerly, Joann\nJOANN CALLAWAY\n2409 Quantico Court\nSan Jose, Calif. 95128 "}
