Sarah\nmo\nJohn Holbrook,\nJI. 15 0ct 1815\nunder age in 1805; mentioned as heir to Amos\nNOTES:\nCame from Rhode Island.\nHad three wives.\nJane\nReynolds whom he married 7 Mar 1771 in West Breenwich,\nR.I.\nShe was born 9 Apr 1747 a daughter of John and Ann Rey-\nnolds of that town.\nHendate of death has not been found and it\nis not known whother she died in R.I. or in rutlanavilliams, married as his second wife, prior to 1779 Thankful widow of Elisha of Rutland.\nis believed to have been a\ndau-\nghter of Jehiel Andrews of Mount\nHOllY,\nWhen the\nLast Parish\nCongregational Church was embodied in 1788 she,\nbeing one of the\nfirst members is called\n\"Thankful Himes\".\nHe married third after\n1799 lucy Slathose maiden name is not pressntly known in Nov.\nappears to have married Samuel Waters of Pittsfora, Vt. of 1805 after the death of Amos.\nThe name of Amos Himes\nSr. does not appear on the Lists of\nFreemen for Rutland although his\nson Amos was sworn in Sept\nof 1809 and Ezra in Sept of 1810.\nAmos Himes died intestate 13 Jan 1805 and administration of his estate was granted to elisha Himes,\nnext of kin of deceased\nhis widow Lucy refused administration.\nThe inventory was\nMatthew Finton\nof Rutland was appointed guardian over Sally\nHimes and Izra Hines minor heirs\nDf Amos Himes late of Rutland.\nRev. Var Service:\nWas on a payroll of Capt. John Smith's Co. in Col. Warren's Regt. of Militia in the service of this and the United States\nCommencing Nov. 7, 1778 and ending 13th both days included-\nAmos Hiams\nRef:\nserved 7 days\nVt. Rev. War Rolls pg 93 also was on a payroll of\nCapt. Sam'l Williams Co. of Militia in Col. Ebenezer Allen's Regt for going on several alarms in Oct. and Nov. 1780-1 same ref pg 309-310;\nalso served in Capt. Samuel Williams\nCo. of Militia in Col.
