On the 29th of November 1834,\nSimeon Wright a resident\nof Pittsford in the County\nof Rutland aged 82\nmade application for a pension for his services in the Revolutionary War.\n2. He made statement that when he was first called into service he lived in Rutland,\nVt. and\nhad continued to\nreside there until the last\nseven or eight years during\nwhich time he has resided in the aforementioned Pittsford.\n3. He stated that he never was drafted into the service never went\nas a substitute and always went as\nvolunteer.\n4. He stated that he served as a minute man at various and sundry times under Captains\nMunson,\nPeleg\nThomas Lee\nSunderland,\nnis lather.\nals o\nserved under Colonels Ethan\nSeth Warren,\nJames of\nTiconderoga, Crown Point and Bennington.\n5. He also stated that a short time previous to the Battle\nof Bennington he was in the town of LEE,\nMass.\nto which\nplace he had brought his family for safety after the surrender of Ticonderoga.\nHe was called upon by a\nCapt. Munson of Massachusetts and went with him to Bennington and arrived just as\nMajor Skeen of the\nBritish party was coming up with reinforcements.\nThey joined Warner's Regiment under Major Wait and soon put the enemy\nHopkins\nto flight. After the battle he\nreturned to Lee with Capt. Munson\n6. States he was a Sargeant in the Company commanded by Capt. Simeon Wright\nof Rutland ( his father.)\nOn the 16th of September 1835 we learn from Jesse Gove the agent acting for Mr. Wright for his pension, that he had migrated to Ohio.\nOn Feb. 3, 1837 Walter Thrall acted as his agent in\nregard to his pension.\nIt appears that it was rejected\nbecause he did not actually have six months required by lay.\nservice\nas "}
