Apollopalooza (with moon rocks!), 10 AM-4 PM
July 20 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm
On loan from NASA, we have genuine moon rocks to examine, lots of displays (including letters warning President Kennedy why a manned mission to the moon was impossible!), models of spacecraft, photos & more, with an expert, Tom Estill, onsite to help get the most from your viewing experience. Plus Wonderfeet Kids Museum with activities including a selfie in space, Rutland Area Robotics with space-themed displays … even get your name on a microchip destined for a Mars mission! This is in honor of the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 mission to put the first human on the moon, July 20, 1969.
