Small Meeting Room, Rutland Free Library

The Small Meeting Room is the smaller of two public meeting spaces upstairs at Rutland Free Library. It has a conference table for up to 10 with ethernet, WiFi and / or videoconferencing (Skype, Google Hangout). There is no landline phone in the small conference room.

Conference room

We offer free use of our meeting spaces. The Fox Room can hold up to 180 people and the small meeting room seat up to 10. We can supply a projector, screen, laptop, chairs, tables and more on request. Please fill out this form to get started.

Public library

We are a public library welcoming all at 10 Court St. Rutland, VT 05701.

We offer books, audiobooks, magazines, DVDs, music CDs, e-books, online databases, free computer access, wireless printing, programs for all ages, the best WiFi in Rutland County and a comfortable place to get together.

Everyone is welcome to use any of our services in the building. Residents of Rutland City, Rutland Town, Mendon, Tinmouth and Ira can also borrow materials for free.


The main building opened in 1858 as a post office and courthouse, it has been home to the library since 1935. The jail cells in the basement are a popular stop for school tours!
